I am the founder of Worldbridges and have had the pleasure of working with  Bee and many other Webheads  during the past year.

I began my education career as a 3rd grade teacher in New Mexico.  I then taugh English as a Foreign Language for about ten years, first in Thailand and then in Korea.

Since 1998, I have been focusing much of my energies on building Worldbridges into a global network of homegrown webcasting and collaborative learning.  This community of communities really started gaining momentum since we began producing live, interactive webcasts in May of 2005.  Worldbridges sites and projects include The Webcast Academy, EdTechTalk, EFLBridges, and WebheadsinAction.org .

During Bee's presentation, we will be connected to the presentation room via a skype conference.  Others will be able to join the skypecast that we are connected to  in order to speak with those in Brasilia. All of this audio will be captured on my computer here in Bow, NH, USA, and using a free little program called Shoutcast which is run on the Worldbridges server, it will be streamed so that anyone, anywhere will be able to listen to that audio live (actually with about a 30 second delay).  We will also be using the text chat room at   WebheadsinAction.org to 'backchannel' during the webcast.

When participants venture into Alado and Learning Times rooms, we will disconnect from the skype call (to avoid potential audio problems), but still be able to stream the audio being captured from those environments.

More information about how we do this kind of webcasting is available from The Webcast Academy Book of Webcasting.

I look forward to virtually meeting participants in Brasilia and enjoying another webcasting adventure with the Webheads.
